A Trip to Bali is the name of my graduate collection. Our graduate collection is an avant grade collection and I chose Bali as my concept. The reason I chose Bali as my concept for this project was because it had the best of all worlds with its refreshing forests and jungles, magical beaches, wonderful culture and majestic animals.  I did in depth research on the Balinese culture and noticed that they tend to use a mixture of prints, bright colours and lots of gold in their cultural clothing. I used all my research conducted to design five final garments, three of which we made. In my designs I used a variety of different bohemian elements in the outfits such as layering, wrapping and a bunch of different trims such as gold tassels, binding and gold discs to create my bohemian avant grade collection. The colours I included in the collection are very eclectic and bright, I also included animal print. The fabric used in the collection included georgette, chiffon and dull satin. All these fabrics are light weight and flowy which matches with the zen and relaxed vibes of Bali.
